Meet Shirley
Shirley cooked the way she lived — with love, humility, and family at the centre!

A Legacy of Love
Nowadays we do not have to stand in our kitchens making jams, chutneys, pickles, and the like, but in my Gran's time, it was a necessary and accepted thing to do, to make sure that there was enough to go round, in the dark months of winter and in times when things were just tight. Today making preserves is an indulgence rather than a necessity, none the less, with the blessing of my family, I am here to honour our beautiful Gran and the memories we hold. Each of us has a fave, a jar we just looked forward to tasting and being given from our Gran. Shirley spent her happiest hours in her garden, surrounded by beautiful flowers, healty fruit trees and edible treasures. We grew up in that garden, and tasted her love every time she cooked.

Handwritten with Heart
My Gran's hand written recipes were given to me as a gift, and what I have learned on the way through making her recipes was not only the magic of traditional baking & cooking, though so much more about Gran, herself - The kind of food that makes your heart warm and stomach full! I am truly blessed to have cooked with and learn from my Gran. The Shirley's Pantry collection are the faves I mentioned plus new tastes for generations to come.
